Questions, answered

Frequently asked.

Quick answers to what most folks want to know. If you don't see your question, call us at (607) 656-7844.

How do I reserve a unit?

Click 'Reserve a unit' anywhere on the site, pick your size, and tell us a bit about you. We'll confirm same day — usually within an hour during business hours.

What are your hours?

Office hours are TBD. Gate access for tenants is 24/7 using your personal code — come and go on your schedule.

Can I pay my rent online?

Yes. The tenant portal lets you pay one-time or set up autopay with a card or bank account. We also accept cash, check, or money order in person.

Do I need to sign a long lease?

No. Everything is month-to-month. Stay one month or stay ten years — we don't lock you in.

Is there a deposit or admin fee?

Nope. You pay your first month's rent and that's it. We give you a free padlock to start.

Do I need insurance?

It's not required. Most homeowner's or renter's policies extend to stored items — check with your provider. We can also point you toward affordable tenant insurance if you want it.

What can I store?

Most household items, business inventory, vehicles (with proof of registration), and seasonal gear. We don't allow perishables, hazardous materials, illegal items, anything living, or anything that smells. If you're unsure, ask.

How secure is the property?

Personal gate code per tenant, exterior lighting, and video surveillance. The grounds are walked regularly, and we live in town — we know what 'normal' looks like.

What if I fall behind on rent?

Talk to us first — we'd rather work it out. If you do get more than 30 days behind, we follow New York's lien process and give you full written notice. We'd rather you keep your stuff than auction it.

Can I switch unit sizes?

Yes. If your needs change, just let us know and we'll move you when a different size opens up. We'll pro-rate the difference.

Still have questions?

We're easy to reach.
